The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been established by WMO and UNEP to assess scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant for the understanding of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation. This information is freely available after registration. The contribution of Working Group 1 (WG1) to the Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) is entitled: The Physical Basis for Climate Change. The datasets and programs used to generate the figures appearing in Chapter 3 and sea level changes under various scenarios computed by recent AOGCMs (Chapter 10) may be obtained by clicking on the appropriate links below. |
