We're planning to retire the Community Data Portal (CDP) after nearly 15 years of service. The most active datasets will be migrated to the Climate Data Gateway website. We tentatively plan to shutdown the CDP service by Jan 1, 2018. Please contact us with questions or concerns.

Project: ESMF > Earth System Modeling Framework
Summary: The Earth System Modeling Framework (ESMF) collaboration is building high-performance, flexible software infrastructure to increase ease of use, performance portability, interoperability, and reuse in climate, numerical weather prediction, data assimilation, and other Earth science applications. ESMF defines an architecture for composing complex, multi-component models and includes data structures and utilities for developing individual components. The framework is used by individual researchers as well as major operational and research centers.

Public vs. Internal Releases: Public releases have undergone exhaustive testing and are expected to be stable. They are fully supported. Internal releases fix bugs or add capabilities not yet in public releases. They may not be fully tested, and come with no guarantee of support.

If you download ESMF software, you will be added to the mailing lists esmf_info@ucar.edu and esmf_community@ucar.edu. These are low-traffic lists that provide updates on the ESMF project. To unsubscribe from these lists, send mail to esmf_support@ucar.edu
